Before joining Clark Consulting, Rick was an attorney in the Los Angeles office of Sheppard Mullin, Richter & Hampton, where he was a member of that firm’s tax, ERISA and corporate departments.
Rick has been involved in several community organizations, including a hospital foundation board, the Boy Scouts of America, and church and school organizations.
Rick received his B.S. from the University of Utah, M.Acc in Tax from Brigham Young University, and J.D. from the University of Utah. Later he earned his LL.M. in Tax from New York University.
For many years, Rick has been very involved in his children’s sports, especially those of his daughters, two of whom went on to compete in college. During that time, he learned the intricacies of their sports, tried to be a good cheerleader, and learned when to keep quiet on the sidelines.
