John Argue

Founder and Senior Managing Director of VerityPoint (Established in 2007)

Expertise:

With over 25 years of experience in the large market executive benefits industry, John’s nonqualified expertise includes benefit plan design, plan administration, plan funding, benefit security, change of control and merger related issues. John has extensive experience in assisting plan sponsors in managing corporate assets to fund emerging benefit plan liabilities to include the use of COLI, BOLI and mutual funds.

John also assists his clientele with the design and management of broad based and supplemental life, disability plans, and select voluntary benefits.

His clientele includes many Fortune 1000 companies with diverse business areas such as financial services, healthcare, engineering, high-tech, manufacturing and utilities. In addition, he also provides broad-based and supplemental benefit programs services to large universities.

Prior Experience:  

Prior to forming VerityPoint, John was a Senior Vice President and Senior Managing Director of the Western Region for Clark Consulting, a national firm providing consulting, third-party administration, and brokerage of executive benefit plans and bank-owned life insurance programs. John joined Clark Consulting in 1992 and prior to that he was employed by Johnson & Higgins of California.

Community Involvement: 

John has a strong commitment to community involvement and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Kids in Sports and the Friends of EXPO Center.

Education: 

John is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a degree in Business Entrepreneurship.

Fun Fact:   

John is a direct descendent of the founders of the appropriately named law firm, “Argue & Argue” (father and grandfather).  As expected, the firm did not last long due to an argument. He is also an avid college football fan with the USC Trojans at the top of his chart.
