Steve is a Managing Director of VerityPoint, a client-centered consulting firm focused on the design and implementation of executive benefit and institutional life insurance programs. Steve has spent more than 30 years as an executive and employee benefits consultant. In this capacity, he has consulted with a wide range of organizations throughout the country on the design of executive and employee benefit programs and the related issues of funding and administration. In recent years, Steve has specialized in employer-sponsored life insurance programs.

Prior Experience:

Prior to joining VerityPoint, Steve was a Senior Vice President and Managing Director at Clark Consulting, a national firm in executive compensation consulting and in the design, implementation and administration of executive benefit plans.

Before entering the benefits business, Steve had been a senior corporate executive specializing in finance and administration. Serving in the capacities of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer, his responsibilities included all finance and accounting functions, tax and insurance, as well as compensation and benefits.

The combination of his background as a senior corporate executive along with his extensive experience in the benefits field provide him with a uniquely broad perspective with which to consult clients.

Community Involvement:

Steve has been a long-time supporter of The Lawrenceville School (N.J.) including service as a Trustee. He was a long-time officer and Board Member of the California Special Olympics, and with his wife, has served numerous other Los Angeles-based charitable organizations.  Steve is a Past-President of the California Club and served in the U.S. Marine Corps.


Steve received a B.S. in Industrial Administration from Yale University and an MBA (majoring in Finance) from the University of Hawaii. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and attained the rank of Major.

Fun Fact:

Steve is an active reader and since 1991 has published a subscription newsletter for readers called The Readers Exchange (TRE). Through book reviews (over 3,000 on file) and book-related features, TRE is designed to help readers with book selection, heighten awareness of reading for pleasure, and encourage non-readers to become active readers.
